Yes. An athletic trainer will be on site for the duration of camp.

If a camper knows she will need to have an ankle, wrist, etc. taped during camp, please bring athletic tape.  The trainer will be available to tape pre-existing injuries, but will not have tape to provide to campers with pre-existing injuries.

The ultimate goal is to create equally competitive teams that will best allow each player to showcase her talents while pushing her to play at her highest level. This is a challenging process, and many factors are taken into consideration (age, current playing level, etc.). Because of this, it will NOT be possible to place friends/teammates on the same team. In fact, one of the greatest advantages of attending CSSC is the opportunity for campers to play with new, talented players they have not played with before.

Campers will be designated to their camp team at the opening meeting on the first day of camp.  It is not possible to inform campers/families of the camp teams in advance because there are usually changes to the camp attendees up until last day prior to camp.  Thus, teams are not finalized until the evening before camp begins.

All of the college coaches listed on the staff page have made a commitment to attend at least some portion of the camp. Some college coaches will be “staff coaches,” who will be given a camp team to coach for the duration of the camp. Other college coaches will most likely not be at every practice/game and will come at their convenience. Please note…EVERY camp team will have a designated college coach to train them in practice sessions and games.

Also, please understand that while all of the coaches listed on the staff page have currently committed to be at the camp, coaching schedules are very unpredictable and can change. If a coach withdraws from the camp, CSSC will do its best to update the camp website in a timely manner.

Yes!  There will be ample opportunity for each college coach to see all players at the camp.  We are only using two fields, so there will be, at most, two concurrent games at any given time slot, and the fields are next to each other.  This allows coaches to easily move between fields as needed.  Of course, it is up to each college coach to decide who they would like to focus on and watch, but if they desire to see every player, they certainly can.

College Admissions Info Session

The college admissions talk will take place over Zoom.  A Zoom link will be sent via email to all registered campers and is listed below

Title: Insider’s Guide to Elite College Admissions

Date/Time: Tue, 7/11 @ 8pm via Zoom

Description: This session, led by a seasoned enrollment professional, will provide an inside look at the admissions practices of highly selective institutions with a focus on the student-athlete. There will be a Q&A session at the conclusion of the presentation.

Presenter: Molly Boegel, Asst. VP for Enrollment – Dickinson College

College Coach Coach Q&A

The college coach Q&A will take place on the indoor field during lunch on Day 1 of camp.  We expect the talk to start between 12:15pm and 12:30pm. Parents who are on site are welcome to attend this event.  We ask that parents sit/stand behind the campers.

CSSC will attempt to broadcast this event on the CSSC Facebook page via Facebook Live so parents/families can follow along.  Because that Q&A is on a field without audio equipment, we cannot guarantee the sound quality.

Because verbal evaluations are most valuable! As college coaches, we have worked many camps where coaches are asked to circle numbers on a generic evaluation form at the end of camp, but this pales in value to a short 1 on 1 discussion with a college coach. One of the reasons our camp is formatted with one college coach to each team is so that each coach has the opportunity to truly connect with the 15-18 players on his/her camp team. This allows the coach to have an open and honest conversation with each player at the end of camp. It also provides the opportunity for players to ask the coach questions and create a dialogue.

Important Note: There may not be time to do all verbal evaluation at camp. If verbal evaluations are not completed at camp, the camper’s team coach will provide an opportunity for a phone call or Zoom chat in the week(s) after camp.

One field is an outdoor field that is surrounded by a low chain link fence.  Parents are allowed to watch from anywhere outside the fence.  The other field is a covered field with very little space around the perimeter of the field.  There are some openings at either end of the covered field, and parents are allowed to watch games from these open areas.  Parents are not permitted within the fenced area of the outdoor field or inside the covered field.

We ask that parents stay off the field surface and off the bleachers during camp games.  We generally reserve the bleachers for campers and camp counselors.  The college coaches also tend to sit around this area.  To avoid congestion and to create a better playing/scouting environment for the players and coaches, we ask that parents stay off the field and bleachers.  You can still watch the games from outside these areas.  Thank you.

CSSC will provide a lunch on each day of camp.  Parents made the lunch selections during the registration process.  In addition, CSSC will also provide ample snacks to campers throughout the day.  We want to assure that campers are well fueled and able to perform their best.

CSSC will provide water jugs at each field.  However, each player is responsible for bringing her own refillable water receptacle.   It is important that each player arrives to camp with a filled water receptacle.  This will greatly limit the number of times our counselors need to refill the water coolers throughout the day.

YES!  It is required for each player to bring her own ball.  The camp will not be providing balls, so it’s important that each player bring a ball.  Please make sure your ball is clearly marked with your name.

-SOCCER BALL! (Every player must bring a ball to camp…the camp provides a camp shirt but does not provide soccer balls. We use camper soccer balls for all practices/games.)
– Water bottle with water. The camp will provide jugs to refill water bottles, but it’s important that each camper arrives to camp with a filled water water.
– Multiple shirts, shorts, socks, undergarments
– Cleats and/or turf shoes (all fields are turf)
– Shinguards (must be worn for all field sessions)
– Athletic Tape (if you require your ankles or other body part(s) to be taped)
– Sunscreen
– Medicines (as required)

CSSC will be in compliance with CDC and local/state guidelines regarding COVID-19.

One of the two fields CSSC will utilize at the In The Net Sports Complex is a covered field.  In The Net has informed CSSC that the covered field is grounded and is a safe place to be during a lightning event.  The certified Athletic Trainer on site will monitor the weather and advise if/when it would be necessary to clear the outdoor fields and move indoors.
